Romania Networking Activities

Ploiești, RomaniaMasterPeace RO carried out a series of educational, creative, and networking activities that brought the No Label values of sustainable fashion, conscious consumption, and social inclusion into the local context. The activities combined youth dialogue, hands-on creation, public awareness, and institutional cooperation, positioning young people as active contributors to change.

On 28 January 2025, MasterPeace RO organised a public discussion titled “Let’s Talk Microtrends and Sustainability” at the local volunteer hub. The event gathered around 20 young participants and blended onsite participation with online exchange with international peers. The discussion focused on microtrends, influencer culture, fast-changing fashion cycles, and their impact on sustainability, mental health, identity, and consumption behaviour. Young people actively reflected on how trends influence their choices and how they can consciously shape or challenge them.

The following day, on 29 January 2025, MasterPeace RO presented an innovative sustainable fashion creationdeveloped by young participants. The garment was made entirely from reused and recyclable materials, including recycled polyester, paper elements, and eco-friendly decorative components. This activity demonstrated practical alternatives to fast fashion and showed how creativity and sustainability can coexist. By working directly with materials, participants experienced learning through practice and saw themselves as designers and changemakers.

These actions were reinforced by ongoing educational and awareness activities under the No Label initiative, including workshops, storytelling, and visibility actions focused on reuse, responsible production, and quality education. Together, they strengthened peer-to-peer dialogue and motivation for more conscious consumption.

On 28 April 2025, MasterPeace RO further strengthened the local impact of the initiative by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with a local governmental institution. This agreement aimed to expand youth support networks, develop inclusive and innovative educational approaches, and ensure long-term cooperation between civil society and public institutions. The partnership marked an important step toward embedding sustainability and inclusion beyond individual activities.

Overall, the activities in Ploiești increased awareness of sustainable fashion and trend-driven consumption, strengthened young people’s critical thinking and creativity, and built durable local partnerships. Through dialogue, action, and cooperation, MasterPeace RO successfully rooted No Label values in the local community and created a foundation for continued work in sustainability, education, and social inclusion.
